There are three different classes of armor - light, medium, and heavy. Armors of
each class will provide you with varying degrees of protection, with light offering the least amount of protection and heavy offering the most. However, the heavier a piece of armor is, the more it encumbers you.
Increasing your rank in these masteries will allow you to use armors more proficiently, upping the amount of AC they provide, as well as reducing the encumberance they give you.
